Discover how industrial Bulk Bags make waste processing easier and more efficient. Learn about tall, large-volume Bulk Bags for plastics recycling like PET bottles — with spouts, skirts, and durable loops for safe handling.

High-Capacity Bulk Bags for Industrial Recycling

Efficient waste processing starts with the right packaging. At 123BigBags, our high-capacity bulk bags are designed for handling industrial recyclables such as plastic flakes, rubber granules and production waste.

Whether you are collecting, storing or transporting shredded PET, HDPE, LDPE or tyre-derived materials, our bulk bags help keep your operation clean, organised and safe. From initial sorting to secure storage and onward transport, they provide a reliable solution for every stage of the recycling process.

Why Choose Bulk Bags for Recycling?

Bulk bags for recycling are a key part of modern waste management systems across the UK. Designed to handle volumes of up to 3 cubic metres and loads up to 1500 kg, these industrial recycling bags replace dozens of smaller sacks or containers. The result is safer handling, better space management, and improved operational efficiency on site.

High volume capacity: Collect more recyclable waste per bulk bag, reducing forklift movements, labour time, and collection trips.
Reusable construction: Made from strong woven polypropylene (PP), many bulk bags can be reused multiple times, especially models with filling spouts and document pockets for identification.
Space-saving design: Empty recycling bulk bags fold flat and stack neatly, ideal for UK sites with limited storage space.
Easy mechanical handling: Reinforced lifting loops allow safe movement by forklift, crane, or telehandler with minimal manual strain.
Recyclable material: Polypropylene bulk bags are fully recyclable, supporting closed-loop waste systems and sustainable recycling operations.

Plastic Waste Recycling with Bulk Bags

Plastic recycling facilities across the UK rely on bulk bags to sort, store and transport materials such as PET, HDPE, LDPE, PVC, PP and PS. After collection, these plastics are often shredded into flakes or granules before being processed into new raw materials. Our bulk bags are designed to support every stage of this recycling workflow.

Open-top bulk bags are ideal for fast filling during collection and primary sorting. For finer materials such as plastic flakes, regrind or granules, spout-top bulk bags provide improved dust control and more precise filling. These models integrate easily with automated recycling equipment, helping to maintain a cleaner facility and protect valuable materials.

Each bulk bag weighs approximately 2 kg yet can safely carry up to 1500 kg of plastic recyclables. This exceptional strength-to-weight ratio makes bulk bags one of the most efficient and cost-effective handling solutions for the plastic recycling industry.

Strong, reusable and fully recyclable, our bulk bags help plastic recycling businesses operate safely, efficiently and sustainably.

Bulk Bags for Tyre and Rubber Recycling

Tyre recycling facilities process used tyres into crumb rubber and rubber mulch. These materials are typically stored and transported in reinforced bulk bags for safe, efficient handling.

Our heavy-duty bulk bags hold between 500 kg and 1500 kg and are available with spout tops for controlled filling and discharge. The larger capacity reduces handling steps and improves batch efficiency.

For tougher applications, choose models with higher GSM fabric (180 g/m² and above), reinforced panels and optional coatings to resist punctures from sharp rubber fragments. Available in 5:1 single-use or 6:1 multi-use options.

Bulk Bags 2m³ and 3m³

For businesses handling large volumes of waste, we offer 2m³ bulk bags and2.2m³ bulk bags. These tall-capacity bags are widely used across the recycling and construction sectors where efficiency and space management matter.

Some models reach up to 2.2 metres in height, providing impressive vertical capacity while keeping your site organised.

These larger sizes allow you to collect more waste per bag without compromising safety. Reinforced stitching and heavier fabric ensure excellent stability, even under demanding loads.

Ideal for recycling centres, construction sites and industrial facilities looking to streamline sorting, reduce handling time and keep storage areas clear.

Choosing Between Open-Top and Spout-Top Bulk Bags

Choosing the right filling option depends on your waste type and logistics needs. Both systems are practical and reliable. The right choice depends on how you work and what material you handle.

Feature	Open-Top	Spout-Top
Best for	Bulky waste (rubble, soil, garden debris)	Fine or dusty materials (plastic flakes, powders)
Filling method	Direct pouring or shoveling	Automated or controlled machine filling
Protection	Contents remain exposed	Closable spout for sealed protection
Recommended use	Short-term indoor storage	Transport or multi-use operations
Cost level	Most economical option	Moderate cost

Both designs are fully compatible with lifting loops and document pockets for clear identification.

Choose based on your material type, exposure risks, and budget.
