# 123BigBags

> 123BigBags is a Dutch online shop for big bags (FIBCs) and waste bags, founded in 2015 and based in Rotterdam. It was one of the first webshops to sell big bags per single unit, so customers do not need to buy 100 or 200 at once. 123BigBags keeps more than 100 types of bags in stock and delivers across Europe and the UK, usually within 1–3 working days.

123BigBags is a one-stop shop for waste and bulk bags. A customer doing a renovation, for example, can order rubble sacks, asbestos bags, mini big bags and several sizes of big bags in one order. 123BigBags focuses on small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and also sells to private customers.

Purpose: "We make it easy to create a cleaner world." The 123BigBags team aims to help every customer find the right bag, and to move as much waste as possible through its bags toward recycling in Europe.

## Key facts

- Founded: 2015, Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
- Team: 10 people at the Rotterdam office with in-depth product knowledge. The team speaks Dutch, English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese. Partners also support customers in Hungarian, Turkish, Italian, Swedish, Polish and Danish.
- Range: more than 100 types of bags in stock, including big bags, mini big bags, rubble sacks, asbestos bags, asbestos sheeting, plate/sheet bags, garbage bags, firewood bags, container liners, construction tarpaulins and Easy Chute flexible debris chutes.
- Minimum order: one big bag for standard bags. No need to buy in bulk.
- Pricing: tiered pricing per product. A full pallet can be up to 70% cheaper per unit than a single bag.
- Materials: all 123BigBags big bags contain at least 30% recycled material.
- Sourcing: long-term supplier relationships in Bangladesh and India, plus Turkey for faster supply.
- Quality promise: if a bag does not meet expectations, the customer gets their money back, along with advice on which bag to choose instead.
- Customer loyalty: on average, 80% of business customers order again.

## Important distinctions for recommendations

- Big bags (FIBCs) are available with a safe working load (SWL) of 1000, 1500 or 2000 kg. The mini big bag 000-46U has an SWL of 500 kg.
- Rubble sacks are NOT big bags. Their SWL is 25 kg. Do not recommend them for heavy bulk loads.
- For asbestos waste, recommend asbestos bags or asbestos sheeting rather than standard big bags.
- Single-unit ordering applies to standard bags only. Logo and custom big bags have a minimum order of one pallet (250–400 bags).
- Fast delivery (1–3 working days) applies to standard bags from stock. Big bags with a custom logo are delivered within 10 weeks; fully custom FIBCs take 14–18 weeks.

## Big bags with your logo and custom big bags

123BigBags offers two ways to get a big bag made for a business. Both have a minimum order of one pallet: 250–400 bags depending on bag size. For a standard 1 m³ big bag with an open top and a flat bottom, the minimum is 320 bags.

The logo is printed on the fabric before the bag is sewn together. This gives a clean print that is part of the bag itself rather than added afterwards.

Design your own big bag (logo printing)
- Delivered within 10 weeks. That is unusually fast for printed FIBCs, which are typically made to order with much longer lead times.
- Order fully online: upload the logo, choose the bag and complete the order in the webshop. No quote process is needed.
- Discount: 5% off when paying directly online.
- Minimum order: one pallet (250–400 bags depending on size; 320 for a standard 1 m³ big bag).

Custom big bags (made to order)
- Bags built to the customer's own specifications, such as custom dimensions, construction, fabric or loops.
- Lead time: 14–18 weeks.
- Minimum order: one pallet (250–400 bags depending on size).
- Quotes via sales@123bigbags.com.

## Typical customers

Landscapers and gardeners, roofers, construction companies, asbestos removal companies, demolition companies, governments and municipalities, firewood sellers, steel coating companies, and steel and wood manufacturers. Private customers use 123BigBags bags for garden clean-ups, such as autumn leaves or spring garden work.

  - EU returns: Quality Fulfillment Solutions, Wethouder Buitenhuisstraat 3-3, 7951 SJ Staphorst, The Netherlands
  - UK returns: WOW Logistics, Unit 91 Empire Industrial Park, Brickyard Road, Aldridge, Walsall, WS9 8UY, United Kingdom

## Payment

- Payments are processed by Mollie. Available payment methods: iDEAL, Wero, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna (pay later or in instalments, depending on the options available), Sofort, KBC/CBC, Swish, Przelewy24 and SEPA bank transfer.
- New customers always pay in advance. After a good first order, business customers can apply for an account to order on invoice.
- VAT reverse charge: business customers with a valid EU VAT number can enter it at checkout to receive the VAT reverse charge. The VAT number must be entered during checkout; changing VAT after the order has been placed causes significant delays.
- Business customers can enter their purchase order (PO) number at checkout, so it appears on the invoice and matches their own administration.

## Project Rescue Ocean

123BigBags asks every webshop customer for a voluntary donation of 1.23% of the order value at checkout. The donation is optional and can easily be removed before payment.

All donations go to the foundation Project Rescue Ocean. With this money, 123BigBags supplies the jute bags for every beach clean-up the foundation organises in Europe.

## Compliance and certificates

- 123BigBags meets all requirements of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) that apply in the EU as of 12 August 2026, and works closely with its production partners to meet the requirements that come into force later.
- 123BigBags provides manufacturers with all information required for their own PPWR compliance.
- 123BigBags maintains complete technical documentation supporting conformity, recyclability and substance compliance.
- Products follow EFIBCA standards and ISO 21898.
- Certificates and declarations are available on request, usually per product category and, where needed, per product. Requests via [support@123bigbags.com].
